Dreaming of Him

I had a pretty weird dream last night (actually i used to dream about weird people/situation/thing)
last night's one was.. about a guy whom i loved. we were dating and were deeply in love! he gave me a great sense of affectionate and romance that i long for in real life. that dream lasted for quite long how i wish it was true?

i goggled about it and this is what i've found:
"To dream of love of being in love, suggests intense feelings carried over from a waking relationship. It implies happiness and contentment with what you have and where you are in life. On the other hand, you may not be getting enough love in your daily life. We naturally long for the sense to belong and to be accepted."

*source from here*

haha quite true! unfortunately, that dream was very vague i dint know who he was. i felt like i knew him and the dejavu that time was so strong...
and no, that guy was not EK :/

Why wasnt i born with a golden spoon?

I have a confession to make.

i've been spending like mad lately T___T
-impulse online shopping lately =___=""
-some car maintenance which cost me blardy RM 735! (i can do so much with that amount of money!!!)

even worse...
worse #1, i havent receive any increment ever since the day i passed my probation.
worse #2, PTPTN keeps reminding me how much debts i havent paid
worse #3, mega sales is on NOW and temptations are EVERYWHERE.

yea i know, i can always claim from my partner right? but i cannot do that so often later he might thinks i'm a big spender(even though he already realised this fact wtf) then he wants to divorce me then how? :/

Movie reviews

17 again

I know i'm abit far behind ;) weekend was a lazy one so i spend the whole noon watching DVDs. watched Land of the Lost but gave up after 30 mins. no doubt its hilarious but too fake to me. so i switched to this.

At 17 Mike O'Donell(Zac Efron) was on top of the world; he was the star of his high school basketball team, and was a shoo in for a college scholarship. And is dating his soul mate, Scarlett. But on what's suppose to be his big game wherein college scouts are checking him out, Scarlett(Leslie Mann) reveals that she's pregnant. Mike decides to leave the game and asks Scarlett to marry him which she does. During their marriage, Mike could only whine about the life he lost because he married her. So she throws him out. And when he loses his job, he returns to the only place he's happy at - his old high school. And while looking at his high school photo, a janitor asks him if he wishes he could be 17 again and he says yes. One night while driving he sees the janitor on a bridge and apparently jumps in and he goes after him. When he returns to his friend, Ned(Tyler Steelman)'s house, where he has been staying, he sees that he is 17 again. He decides to take this opportunity to get the life he lost.

rating: 3.5/5
Zac Efron is quite cute though ;)

Taking of Pelham 123

As recommended by a friend, we watched this last weekend.

Together with a few partners, Ryder(John Travolta) hijacks a subway train in New York and requested 10 milion dollar in return. Walter Garber(Denzel Washington) who works as a computer dispatcher was told to bring the money in order for the hostages to be released. in the end, Ryder gets away but still, suffers the consequences of his acts.
its very action-packed, but the story is abit boring.

overall rating: 3/5

RIP, Yasmin

A great lost to Malaysia T__T
I was shocked when i heard about her death this morning through First it was MJ, and now, Yasmin :(
I first knew about Yasmin Ahmad about 2 years ago. i know 2 years is just not enough to explore all of her masterpieces. honestly i dint watch her films like Sepet or Talentime but i really love the advertisements directed by her. they were really touching and meaningful. i remembered this the most:

and now she is no longer here, but her legacy will be long remembered.

Got lucky?

I received a call from Watson Taiping yesterday. the guy told me i won myself Maybelline eye shadow from the contest i joined last few weeks. not sure why but instict told me its not a scandal or what... so, i headed to Tesco last night and asked about it.

True! i won! haha :D fyi, i used to take part in contests and lucky draws but hardly win anything. i think i have no fate in winning free thing :/ (but yesterday was an exceptional case)

Maybelline Impact Express pencil shadow, in blue. i wish they could gimme some other color as i already had a blue highlighter at home. but since its FOC, so nvm! ^__^

its similar to eye shadow.. only that its way more convenient and easier to use compare to the normal eye shadow.

this is how the color looks like, without flash. it has some glittering effect too

i have yet to find out hows the effect. perhaps can post some review later!

p/s: the market price is about RM23

Office lunch time

Usually i will stay in during lunch time, to avoid the hot sun out there and also to save some $$. today, Lorita brought some salad ingredients and we made it as our lunch. this is quite an easy dish to do! quite healthy but slightly fattening i think =__= but nvm, since the fats were shared equally among 5 of us (Lorita, Yvonne, Yan, Angeline and me) so its fair! :p

apples, oranges, sliced carrots, tomatoes, eggs, nuts, macaroni and thousand island. erm, the duku langsat is our side dishes lol

why the boring face Lorita...
i had about 2 bowls of this and still feeling full right now.. :/
gotto sweat kao kao later during yoga.

Hah such a lame title.. like some sorta air cond adv..
i remembered doing a post like this last year, but that was a short one.
now, i'm gonna elaborate more on this! (what to do, i'm running outta topics to blog lately)

this was my graduation in 1990!! *proud*

shit i couldnt find any photos earlier than 1990. i think mummy kept them somewhere already...

my kinder year.. was selected as a dancer for a pom pom dance.. haha. spot me?

this was during 8 i think... went to Malacca with cousin and relatives.. notice my natural curls, hah why spend money on perming hair??

this was 10 year old, at a small party at uncle's house at Cheras. i think i looked cute here eh?

upgraded!! school organized some outings and my parents allowed me to join!! *jumps high and low*
see, checkered tees were so in already back in 1995!
this was the time where eating was my priority wtf. my face was so chubby and can hardly see my eyes..

this was my second photography session with friends. i'm pretty sure most of you had this kinda photo shooting too! here, my face was still chubby and eyes still so small -__-

when i was 16! i think its the only time when i cut my hair so short! anyhow, i still prefer long hair! by the way, i wore the same uniform dress from Form 1 to Form 5 can you imagine?

first trip to Maxwell Hill with the girls.. i remembered this so well! we stayed a night there and swore we would never wanna go again :/ the chalet was scary. it was raining heavily that night and there was thunderstorm, radio channel went wrong, the door's glass was broken and electricity went tripped. we moved all the matresses to the living hall and slept. i was the earliest one to sleep cause damn scared ok! mind you, there were just GIRLS that time!

Eve and me!! we went for a short penang trip back in 2001/2002. it was my first time being exposed to what is hair straightening..

these 2 were my best-est mates during Form 6 (year 2002-2003) here, i started to wear contact lens and decided to keep my hair longg.
went to Cameron Highland as organized by the Tiong Hua club. hair still short and still plump that time.. i tried to control my diet that time but still failed T___T
obviously, this was during my Uni year! 2005 to be exact. yea i was still that fat!! though i was away from home, i kept eating and eating due to pressure and ke-tension-nan from assignments, vivas and tutorials
Siew Ling and me during an UM expo. she is exactly same year as me but is already a mother of TWO! *shame on me*
and my hair got longer! and still that straight!! oo i highlighted my fringe too!

i forgotten when was this.. but here, everyone started to dress up and wear nicer.

this is quite recent. been perming and colouring my hair since 2 years ago. i keep saying to change my hair style since ages ago but still..... perhaps its time for a change, like, REAL change ok. hmm we shall see...

False hallucination?

Suet Li mentioned in her blog last week about her strange dream. like everyone else, i commented and said it was just some hallucination due to tiredness.
last night, it happened on me :S i was in a state of half asleep and half awake (i think). suddenly i felt something/someone was pressing on me. i knew i was on my bed in my very own room and nobody else was in there. i tried to scream but i cant hear my voice; i tried to move my arms/legs but also failed. i swear i tried hell hard to move my body but that feeling was so strong!! after several failed attempts i started to pray 南无阿弥陀佛, repeatedly and it WORKS!! few seconds later i can feel my body and i quickly sat up and looked around the room.
it felt so real ok! i was tired even though my eyes were wide opened. i was still praying at this point just to calm myself down and to hopefully chase that feeling away. it took me a while to eventually fall asleep.
i know i'm not the only one who experience this and i know this is not the first time for me. i dont know why this thing happen and i always wonder whether that thing really exist?? if its not because of that thing then why did the feeling disappeared after i prayed?
i used to sleep alone and all lights must off. i think it'll be a challenge for me tonight :( i know i shouldnt think too much and just relax. but this thing had just happened so its still fresh in my mind. i just cant help T___T

Purple eyeshadow

I was too free yesterday so i had some make up fun time.

i was trying to mimic the look from this video.

I know, i dint look like her T__T i'm not that pro yet. i think purple and pink are very delicate colors. the eyes will look swollen if application is not done carefully. but once again, practice makes perfect!

Pan pancakes

It was a lazy Sunday. EK was as usual, chasing after his korean drama. so i went back home and did something meaningful.

Simple pancake
corn oil
honey (1/2 cup)
skimmed milk (1/2 cup)
whole fat milk (1/2 cup)
self raising flour (1 cup)
eggs (2)
yogurt (2 cups)
kiwi, mango, strawberry, blueberry or other fruits you prefer

1. Sift flour. Beat eggs and pour in milk and honey. Pour the egg mixure into flour and mix well.
2. Heat oil. Put 1 tbsp of mixture into pan and fry until it turns golden. Top with yogurt and arrange fruits.

i copied this recipe from the book Yvonne bought last week. very easy isnt it?

haiz. i think i'm a bad cooker. but everything has its first i think i just need more patience and practices.

a closer look to my roti canai

i put some strawberry-flavored yogurt and topped with kiwi and mango..
anyway, overall i think the pancakes tasted ok. just needed more flavor.

Being rejected

I'm just wondering anyone owns a HLB credit card?
I was being told this morning that EK's credit card application had been rejected :O what?! we waited more than a month and this is what we get? >=(
actually i called HLB KL branch last 2 weeks for a follow up. the guy who attended to me, erm.. sounded abit snobby i would say. i told him i called on behalf of my husband to ask about his cc application status. i made sure i had all of his information in hand (eg: IC number, address etc) just in case they need verification. too bad, he told me he would only speak to the applicant himself. i reconfirmed by saying that i have all the information but still, he wont entertain me
:( fine, may be its just their working policy and i totally respect that.
so few days ago i requested Theng to clarify for me as she is working at HLB Taiping. she called up and said the status was pending and could be rejected. everything seems so vague. anyway i did not mad at her because i understand she is not under credit card service line. so things remained silent until she confirmed with me the rejection this morning. the reason they gave is, WE DID NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT DOCUMENTS. but as of WHAT documents, i dont know. none of their staffs call EK until today.
well, all i can say is that, they are not professional enough. firstly, they promised the card to be approved within 2 weeks from the date we apply but look, its already more than a month now!secondly, even if they found out that we did not provide sufficient supporting documents they could just give us a ring earlier. but, NONE ALSO!
i told EK about this just now and he was kinda disappointed and mad and he decided to give up. luckily i did not encounter that with HSBC ;)
I think this is what people usually do. when they're persuading you to apply for one, they'll treat you like a king/queen and answer to any of your doubts and even promise you this and that. but once you agreed and they get the job, then that's it. they wont entertain for further complaint or comments. even if they do, they will just simply give you an excuse or some vague reasons.
yes, i think this is what happen these days... -___-

Lets talk about my favourite beauty store!
besides fashion boutiques, my most frequent visit during a shopping is SASA! when i was still in UM few years back, we used to go shopping almost every weekend (except during exam/assignment periods). back then, our favourite malls were MV and Sg Wang. and everytime during the shopping, i never fail to enter Sasa ^__^ it could be just a window shop but i can lepak in this shop for hours! serious. cause there are just too many things to see! can get free perfume testing and sample somemore. you know how people love free skin care/cosmetic samples right! *grin*
and i dont know about you but i think all Sasa's promoters are pretty friendly! they greet you with a friendly smile and always assist you in every questions. of cause, they will tempt you with different products and persuade you for a buy. but since they treat me nice so i would just reject politely for things that i'm not interested.
during my recent visit there, i got myself a Sexy Girl hair cologne and Mavala mascara and eyelash lengthening gel. i told the girl that i want some nice hair spray and she recommended me this instantly. it smells really great and i'm loving it! i wanted something like this long time ago as i find it annoying when i came back from clubbing or some closed-air restaurants. those smoke odor will just lay there on our hair and it sucks..

Sexy girl hair cologne in Paradise Fruity scent

as for the lash lengthening gel, i'm still using it and let see what it can do for my short and poor lashes after a few weeks.

Mavala mascara and lash lengthening gel

however, its totally upsetting to accept the fact that THERE IS NO SASA OUTLET IN TAIPING!! T___T
can someone please tell me why?!

Sushi(s) fun!

As promised, pictures for the sushi session last weekend!
the crucial part of all is the cooking of the rice. to make a good sushi rice i think its important to put in the japanese rice vinegar, 米酢. alternatively, you can add in some (boiled) salt and sugar for more taste and to make the rice more sticky. this is totally optional as the japanese rice itself is already gluey on its own. first round, we cooked about 3-4 cups of japanese rice. this is already enough to make 4 medium plates of sushi(s). as for the ingredients, its up to your own creativity!

some of the ingredients
i mentioned here that i wanted to make tamago sushi. the steps seems pretty easy right? but, without the pan, nothing is possible, we are not sushi experts somemore. Boon has just moved into this new house last 2 weeks and when we reached, we realised that he dont have any pan, not even the round pan we use to fry eggs! so, outta no choice, we used the traditional wok. so frying egg using that is like, making tosai (an Indian dessert). so first tamago making is officially, quite failed T___T i think its time to invest in a good rectangular pan.

the final products!!

this plate finish the fastest. self made ebi fry. we didnt use the powder even though its available in the market. instead, we used baking powder and blended bread slice. impressive huh?

me, Crystal and Tingki

groupie! minus a few potato couches at the tv room. paid money just to watch tv only. hemp~
more photos at FB!

Some boring updates

As planned, i drove to JJ Ipoh on Saturday afternoon. was able to get all the material needed for our sushi making session. i bought unagi, salmon, inari, octopus, tobiko, japanese soy sauce, wasabi and sushi mats. these few items already cost me about RM150 =__=" no wonder people says japanese food are expensive!
however, the making was fun! there were about 13 of us and we made 2 big plates and 5 small plates of sushi. this time we not only made crabstick and prawn sushi but we had more varieties! learnt from the pass! of cause we couldnt finish ALL of them so everyone brought some take away back home.
*pictures soon*

watched Transformer for the second time and it's still rocks!! rumors has it that Transformer III is screening in 2012? hmm, another great movie to looking forward to (i know its a bit early..)

almost half of the department is on leave today, leaving MIS even quieter than normal :x

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the dinasours

Decided to watch this with the gang at the very last minute. i personally did not plan to watch this actually but since darl wanted to watch so i followed too.
end up with no regrets at all :D the movie was short, only about 90 minutes. this is good as it dint bore us, plus, everyone wanted to go home early and rest as today is still a working day.

The story
Scrat the squirrel is still going after the acorn nut and this time, he is joined by a female squirrel and thus, starting their fight and eventually fall in love ^__^ Manny and Ellie the mammoth are expecting their new born; Diego the tiger is deciding whether he should leave the crowd; Sid the sloth accidentally discovered 3 dino eggs and after stealing them, treated them like his own babies; Eddie and Crash joining the crowd too.
besides these characters, there is a new one called Buck, the weasel. he leads the crowd in the adventure of rescuing Sid from the dinasours land.

this movie is highly recommended for a good laugh. its witty we laughed all the way and the animation is fantastic!
rate: 3.5/5
