8 perfect stay young foods

1. Eggs
Benefit: weight loss
When it comes to breakfast, you can’t beat eggs. (That was too easy, wasn’t it?) Seriously, at a cost of only 72 calories, each large egg holds 6.3 grams of high-quality protein and a powerhouse load of vital nutrients.
(Great! i like eggs actually. and it serve as a good DIY facial mask too!)

2. Green tea
Benefit: longer life span
Literally hundreds of studies have been carried out documenting the health benefits of catechins, the group of antioxidants concentrated in the leaves of tea plants.
(green tea is my favourite. now that i know beside banish excess fats in my body, green tea is good in keeping our life span longer!)

3. Garlic
Benefit: Cardiovascular strengthening
Allicin, an antibacterial and antifungal compound, is the steam engine pushing forward garlic’s myriad health benefits. The chemical is produced by the garlic plant as a defense against pests, but inside your body, it fights cancer, strengthens your cardiovascular system, decreases fat storage, and fights acne inflammation. Be sure not to overcook it, as too much heat will render the compound completely useless (and your food totally bitter).
(i have to say, i love garlic also. i will get myself a small plate full with chopped garlic during meal time)

4. Grapefruit
Benefit: weight loss
Those who ate the grapefruit also exhibited a decrease in insulin levels, indicating that their bodies had improved their ability to metabolize sugar
(i dont really like grapefruit. but this tips is tempting me to start liking it..)

5. Greek yogurt
Benefit: feeling fuller for longer
If it’s dessert you want, go with regular yogurt; but if it’s protein, go Greek
(yogurt is my all time favourite too! you must be wondering why i have so many favourite food huh? lol. simply because i love to eat :p)

6. Avocado
Benefit: reduced risk of heart disease
Numerous studies have shown that monounsaturated fats both improve you cholesterol profile and decrease the amount of triglycerides (more fats) floating around in your blood. This can lower your risk of stroke and heart disease
(i've heard that avocado is good for our skin too)

7. Bell peppers/capsicum
Benefit: improved immune function
All peppers are loaded with antioxidants, but none so much as the brightly colored reds, yellows, and oranges. The range of benefits provided by these colorful pigments include improved immune function, better communication between cells, protection against sun damage, and a diminished risk of several types of cancer
(another favourite ;) however, i prefer the green one)

8. Almond
Benefit: improved memory
Before you go out to eat, grab a handful of almonds; it could help keep your hunger at bay.
(good! prevent us from over eating..)

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

The unwelcomed birthday presents

(Note: Quite a long post, I skipped my afternoon nap to write this so please read everything ya!! xDD)

Past 2 weeks were really exhausting for me.

It all started on 20th April when Aden developed a mild fever, he was tired and sleepy, I let him skipped school for 2 days.

He seldom takes afternoon nap, when he does, it means he is not feeling well :(

The next day, it was Toby's turn😢
Poor boy, his temperature reached 39° and it was on and off~
Then I notice he started to have these cute double eyelids for a few days~ Haha not sure why~
He was feeling really unwell, very lethargic, no appetite and super duper clingy to me!

Then both brothers started to cough badly 😢😢
So on the 25th, I brought them to the pediatrician again.  He examined both boys and suspected it could be pneumonia and even dengue (because their fever were on and off). Suggested to get admitted right away.
I wasn't sure if that's necessary because I knew once admitted, have to stay for at least 5 days (h…
