went to Penang last weekend for my bridal gowns trying. i've tried on about 15 pair of gowns and chosed 7 of them for my bridal photography which has been postpone to December and 2.5k was gone due to gowns upgrading =__="" i seriously think bridal industry has a bright future. imagine a pair of so-called brand new arrival/design gown charges you about RM 800. and if you want to wear it during your actual wedding night, the price to pay is RM 2500! what the.....
it was a heartache, but EK said its a once-a-life-time thingy so its worth to invest on it. i even saw a few really nice gowns there but i couldnt wear them :( blame it to my beautiful body line. hahaha. what to do? i'm originally heavy bottom.
anyway, it took us 3 hours++ to finish trying the gowns and some further discussions. thanks to Crystal and EK who were willing to accompany me throughout the whole session.
(no camera is allowed, that explain why no photos were taken)
1.5 months to go before the actual bridal shooting. guess i'll need to put more effort in my weekly workout ;)

Or worry about what they might think. Or getting their validation. If you use too much time and energy to focus on these three things you may be heading down a pretty harmful road. An important part of this is to not to see yourself through the eyes of others. Doing that can build a self-image and expectations that become very hard to live up to. It can make you end up filled up with negative feelings and that won’t help anyone.
(yea, believe in yourself, believe in whatever you're doing)
2. Forget about perfectionism
Perfectionism is pretty pointless. It's just you putting unnecessary pressure on yourself and thereby reducing your ability to do excellent work. Take a look at the next point to find a better replacement for perfectionism.
(i STRONGLY agree on this. nobody is perfect! i always keep this in mind)

3. Focus on the process, not on the outcome.
Detaching from the possible outcomes and just keeping your focus on the work you are doing makes it easier to both live and live up to your potential by reducing many of your inner, mental obstacles such as performance anxiety and other worries.
(well, i should try practice on this...)
4. Be OK with mistakes and failure.
This one ties in to the two previous tips. If you allow yourself to redefine mistakes you´ll be less prone to get yourself stuck in perfectionism.
The morning of the day when you learned to ride a bike you fell off it time and time again. But you just brushed yourself off, perhaps cried for a minute or two and then you got up on the bike again. And towards the afternoon, or the next day, you probably started to become pretty good at riding your bike.
(this point is also dedicated to that someone, bear in mind, everyone makes mistakes)
5. Just do it!
If you often get stuck in procrastination and get little done the pressure can start to build up. “Just doing it” is a great way to get out of an overthinking or procrastinating state and just get going with what you want to do.
6. Cut down on busywork and unimportant stuff
Feeling like you just have too much to do and too little time for the most important things? Then you probably need to do some decluttering in your life. Eliminate some of the less important stuff.
(i think this is very much related to prioritization in whatever we're doing)
7. Don’t take things too seriously.
I´m not saying that you shouldn´t do a good job. Or that you should avoid responsibility. But having the attitude that the sky will fall down if something goes wrong is most often inaccurate outside of your own head. And it´s not a good headspace to be in to perform or feel well.
Realise you have a choice about what attitude you should adopt, just like with what you choose to do/not do. It might take some time to replace an old and ingrained habit for another. But over time you can do it
(in another word, dont be so calculative on every single little things. you'll eventually make you life happier)
8. Take 30 belly breaths
- Sit in a relaxing position with your legs apart.
- Put your hands on your stomach. Using your stomach breathe in slowly through your nose. If you are doing it right your stomach will expand and you´ll feel it with your hands.
- Breathe out slowly through your nose and do it with some force so you feel your stomach pull slightly inwards towards your spine.
- Breathe in and out 30 times. Take slow and deep breaths.
- After you have taken 30 breaths and focused on counting them you should not only feel more relaxed and centered. Your body will also be able to continue breathing in this manner without you focusing on it. And that´s it. Continue with your normal day.
(i think i really need to try this if i'm under pressure.. )

昨晚，Kampung Boyan 有九皇爷游行。kiasu的我们，七早八早就在Prima cafe 边吃边等着看游行。但是东西也吃完了，游行都还没到叻。。最后，游行终于走到Prima cafe 这里了，那时已经是9.30pm了。很多妹妹和aunty都有丢糖果，面包给我。哈哈，不错吧？都那么老了，还有得拿糖果。。:p

here goes how:
1. Just add water
Keeping H20 at the ready will give you something to put in your mouth besides sweets from your neighbor's candy bowl. Fill a reusable water bottle with ice water before you leave home, and refill it throughout the day
(as for me, i'm using a one liter water bottle and sometimes will refill it. but to me, i prefer warm water than cold one)
2. Set an exercise meeting
Protect your exercise time by putting sweat sessions in your calendar just as you would meetings with your most important client. When the day gets busy or you're tempted to surf gossip sites on your lunch hour rather than take to the treadmill, seeing your commitment in print will motivate you to get to the gym.
(well, i cant slip out to workout during working hours, but i attend yoga class twice a week and aerodance class once a week. will go for jog during the rest of the day. though they are after-work exercises, i still enjoy them very much)
3. Sculpt right on site
If you can't slip out to exercise, firm up at your desk using just a resistance band and a chair. Dejiggle on the job by doing three sets of these six simple moves on Self.com on nonconsecutive days, up to three times a week.
(it would be weird if i do this here. so, this point is not so practical to me)
4. Bring your own snack
Slip a healthy bite into your tote as you leave the house in morning, and you won't be taunted by that Butterfinger in the vending machine when the afternoon munchies strike. To stay satiated—and sharp—until supper, aim for a bite that contains about 200 calories, some fiber and a smidge of protein, too.
(i bring at least 2 types of fruits to work almost everyday. usually my fruit time is between 4-5pm. as for snacks, i usually chose those Luxury's vegetable crackers which comes in mini packs)
Recruit a few like-minded coworkers to get fit with you. You'll foster friendships at the office (always a good thing) while knocking off pounds. Log the miles each of you walks, runs or bikes each day on a board in your break-room or by creating a shared spreadsheet online; award prizes, such as movie tickets or a gift certificate for a manicure, to whomever covers the most ground. Get set to boost workplace morale and give your bod a lift, too!
(colleagues, should we start a plan like this? :p anyway, i'm glad that most of us here share the similar interest - lose weight. although sometimes we still couldnt resist food temptations from canteen, marketing staffs or vendors.....)

Mike then taught Abby on how to win her neighbour Colin's heart. and when Abby is dating Colin, she realised she has fallen in love with Mike too.

7 cups water
1 bundle of pandan leaves
150gm rock sugar
100g ginkgo nuts
200g of water chestnut (chopped into cube-size)
pinch of salt to taste (optional)
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
4 tbsp water chestnut powder mixed with 8 tbsp of water
when the rock sugar is fully dissolved, add in the water chestnut and bring to boil. next, add in ginkgo nuts

If you remember, it was raining during the actual mid autumn day. it totally spoilt our plan =__=
we actually planned to celebrate Crystal's birthday at lake garden while everyone can play lanterns and candles there too...
end up, we celebrated it at prima cafe.
nonetheless, we went there around 11pm, it was still drizzling then. but it dint stop us from having fun ;)

Another Friday!! did i tell you how fast time flies? =__=
many friends asked me what happened with regards to my FB's status yesterday. i think most of them could guess who am i refering to....
but just when i started to cool down, another unhappy incident happened... sigh...
anyway, another long weekend is coming!! i remember we had BBQ session last year upon celebrating Devali :p but not sure about this year. anyway, i wanna wish everyone who celebrates Deepavali, a happy Deepavali! ;)

in a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they become foamy. next, add in sugar and salt and whisk them until they become stiff (recipe says it takes about 20 mins, but lazy me i only whisked for about 10 mins...)
when all are done, pour everything together and blend until they are well incorporated. bake at 170C for 25 mins.

The story tells about the high end technology in the near future. everybody has their own surrogates while the real self can be stayed at home, controlling and watching every movements and actions by their own surrogates. agent Tom Greer (Bruce Willis) takes the mission to stop the operation on destroying every surrogates.
its amazing to see what graphics and computers can do these days. however, the story is abit dull in the beginning. the climax is almost towards the end of the movie..
