Lady luck

You know I'm a loyal fan of CLEO magazines. I buy them every month without miss, simply because it's packed with fashion/females topics, contests and also the price per magazine is reasonable. Over the years, I've won twice of the contests, I remembered the 1st prize I won was a Nivea products hamper, but the 2nd one I dint manage to collect them from their PJ office as I was back to Taiping :(

Recently, I read one of their article named 'The Air Down There' (from May edition) and I thought it was such a great article! We all ladies know how important it's to take care of our, ehem, down there, in general, personal hygiene. So I thought of writing to them to show how much I benefited from reading the article. I dint think of winning then, but just wanted to write and thank them.. but who knows, I was selected as letter of the month!! woohoo :D

the excerpt of what I wrote to CLEO *click to read*

I received a call the other day from a friendly CLEO staff Sofia, asking me for mailing address and details. But I have to bear the courier fees which is RM 15 if I would like them to send to my doorstep.

tada!! these are the prizes I won. Laneige Snow Crystal Dual Foundation on the left and Sliding Pact EX Snow Crystal powder on the right *grin*

close up. Laneige has been a famous Korea skin care brand and it has the main ambassador, the famous Korea celebrity Song Hye Kyo (宋慧乔).

I like the snow crystal dual foundation (RM120+) as it has a light shimmering effects, and as for the sliding pact (RM 132+), I certainly love the design because it looks so cool! just like a sliding handphone, LOL... I'll do a full review of these products soon. And is it worth to pay RM 15 for the 2 of these lovelies? you judge it yourself ^_^
Thank you CLEO for the lovely prizes!!

Hmm

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
