Lunch with love

A bowl of scrumptious and nutritious ba zhen soup noodles (八珍汤面线), from dearest mummy!

I totally forgot about my chinese birthday until mum reminded me yesterday.. it's still her tradition to cook us noodles, which symbolizes longevity if eaten during birthdays.
Like I mentioned, I'm a soup lover so I can drink them plain, with rice or noodles. this ba zhen soup is well known for its function in blood enrichment.

Thank you mum! You're always the best! *mwwaahh*

  13. HeLLo HayLey,

I only got a birthday wish from my parents. You got better, the noodle. Wa... I want some?

Maybe because noodles are long, that's why they relate it to longevity.

  19. I've never liked ba-zhan since young. My mum used to boil this for me quite often last time and I really dreaded drinking it! Somehow your bowl of noodles (is it mee-sua?) looks so delicious! :)

  20. ChloeRuoyi, oo, I know, some people dont like the taste of it, somehow bitter and very rich in herbal taste.
    Ya, its mee-sua!
