2D1N up North

As mentioned, I was away during the weekend to the Southern part of Thailand, Hadyai. It was a short trip, but a fun one!
Before I proceed, let me tell you that I dint snap any food photos this time, because I was eating with in laws, and a group of their friends... so, paiseh lo... :P

left house early morning and we reached the border without much hassle! lunch was chicken rice at the famous Tai Thong kopitiam

after checked in, it was individual activity time! hubby and I walked around the city area, and I dint forget to eat my all time favourite Swensen ice cream!! :))

yours truly

hubby's sleepy face and my happy face!

some random performance outside Lee Garden mall

weather was terribly hot at Hadyai! but it dint stopped me from shopping and shopping! :D

fast forward to the evening, we gathered at the hotel lobby to our dinner place. we stayed at Novotel hotels this time

after dinner, we walked to the nearest foot massage center and enjoyed the 1 hour relaxing foot massage! it was only 250 baht (RM25)!

supper was the 'quite-expensive' dessert =_=
a bowl of leng chee kang which cost RM5

The next morning, we took tut tut and shopped at the big market...
not much change though

the decent us ;)

That pretty much summarised my short getaway to Hadyai! and here's my shopping loots:

a cute baby boy and baby girl clothing for friends ;)

Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…
