Movie Review: CZ12 十二生肖

Starring: Jackie Chan, Kwon Sang-wooLiao Fan, Yao Xing Tong, Zhang Lan Xin, Laura Weissbecker

This is the last movie I've watched in 2012.

The movie is all produced and directed by Jackie Chan himself, and said to be his last action movie.

Well, his movies are all about actions and dangerous stunts so as this one. Seriously I really wonder how can a human being tolerant all the dangerous stunts? Some I think really possess high risks of severe injuries!

Anyway I personally quite like it as not only it's exciting, it's funny at the same times. There're a lot of new faces but their acting was good. And towards the end of the show, there're some special guests appearance too! The movie also shows a lot of high end technologies (something like Mission Impossible 4).

Story wise, not a disappointment as well. It's mainly about how Jackie Chan and the crew locate and find the real Chinese zodiac bronze heads.

Rating: 7/10

1., thank you. He probably would need layers of make up - rather old now, isn't he?

    1. STP, he's old but he's still willing to do all the actions himself, deserve a 'Like', right? ;)

  2. Yes, this is a nice movie of 2012, I would say. I enjoy it to the max. Same as my kids and hubby.

    1. We watched in on Christmas day. So surprise to see his wife Lim showing up at the last part.

    2. Besides, Kwon Sang-woo is so handsome.

How can I forget to wish you Happy New Year 2013. When are you blogging about our meet up?

    3. Yes I was quite surprised to see his wife too!
Yep, Kwon Sang-woo is very handsome :p

Happy new year to you too!
I will blog about it this weekend ya! ^^

  3. I had watched the movie and enjoy it very much...

  4. It is like the old jackie chan movie.
and the show full of action and some hilarious parts...

    1. my friend said that it is very cham to see "old jackie" have to jump here and there ..
Most of the action is done by himself and not using stuntman... Great

    2. SP, haha not cham la.. It's actually more to 'admire', I really pui fok his determinations to show us so much dangerous stunts!

  5. i am looking forward to watching this show too. happy new year to you :)

    1. Happy New Year Barb!

I am sure you'll enjoy it!

  6. Despite some harsh reviews I still find this movie a charm. Everything is good (not awesome but good), and most importantly it brings back the nostalgic memory of watching action comedies for the 80's babies like me. We grew up watching JC's production (esp when CNY is approaching), and it's the warm, familiar feeling that got me hooked.

And yes, funny lines and great new actors/actresses.

    1. Yea I agree.
This is another good movie of JC.

  7. We enjoyed watching this movie too. Action and laughter packed kind of movie!

  8. 这部电影我也看了,从小看到大的成龙,还是第一次走进电影院看他的电影。=)

    1. 嗯,很搞笑hor!

  9. I'm always very slow when come to watching movies, lol

  10. Seldom watch movie nowadays last was Skyfall however went for this movie 'blindly' with sweetie Mango's two sisters & husband & children plus mother-in-law as it was like more of a family outing. The kids loved it very much.

  11. would try my best to capture this movie soon! *busy boy mode* hahah

  12. niceee! i watched already too! i admire how jackie is so daring to do all the action despite knowing the risk of getting hurt!

  13. Yet to catch this movie...can't seem to get good seats on the days I can catch a movie:(

    1. Huh how come! So many cinemas there~

  14. I have to admit I am a Jackie Chan fan.

  15. oh really that nice ah that movie?? but i have been not interested in watching JC movie since many years ago already, haha!!

    1. yalah, all his movies are of the same style one.. all hardcore stunts and he really get so dangerously involved in all of them.. salute him at this age!!

    2. i saw the making of documentary of this film, wow, quite cool.. all those stunts really are amazing..

    3. SK, yea quite nice!
Erm may be you should watch it since it's his last action movie!

  16. I heard this movie tops the box office in Singapore.

好久好久没来篇像样的华语post咯! 今天就算牺牲美容觉也得呕出一篇来回馈我亲爱的读者朋友们,我知道有时看太多鸡肠对眼睛不好 xDD 怎样,我抵錫吗?:p
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…
