Movie Review: CZ12 十二生肖

Starring: Jackie Chan, Kwon Sang-wooLiao Fan, Yao Xing Tong, Zhang Lan Xin, Laura Weissbecker

This is the last movie I've watched in 2012.

The movie is all produced and directed by Jackie Chan himself, and said to be his last action movie.

Well, his movies are all about actions and dangerous stunts so as this one. Seriously I really wonder how can a human being tolerant all the dangerous stunts? Some I think really possess high risks of severe injuries!

Anyway I personally quite like it as not only it's exciting, it's funny at the same times. There're a lot of new faces but their acting was good. And towards the end of the show, there're some special guests appearance too! The movie also shows a lot of high end technologies (something like Mission Impossible 4).

Story wise, not a disappointment as well. It's mainly about how Jackie Chan and the crew locate and find the real Chinese zodiac bronze heads.

Rating: 7/10

  1. Ummmm...no, thank you. He probably would need layers of make up - rather old now, isn't he?

  6. Despite some harsh reviews I still find this movie a charm. Everything is good (not awesome but good), and most importantly it brings back the nostalgic memory of watching action comedies for the 80's babies like me. We grew up watching JC's production (esp when CNY is approaching), and it's the warm, familiar feeling that got me hooked.

And yes, funny lines and great new actors/actresses.
