Day trip to Ipoh (Food post)

Besides visiting those caves in Ipoh, we tried some of the recommended local food as well.

For breakfast, Kim brought us to Sin Yoon Loong, located at Jalan Bandar Timah.

There're people selling fruits, pasembor and local snacks just outside the shop

Full house! We stood by the table and waited for about 5-10 minutes for the previous customers to go...

Ordered the famous hor fun (not bad, the kuey teow is very chewy)

Yong tau foo

Siew yok and char siew, highly recommended!

Kaya toast, thin and crunchy!

Egg toast also taste nice!

Then we dropped by the drive-thru Funny Mountain soya bean shop, located at Jalan Theatre.

Queues are long! But we just waited in the car, the staff will come for ordering and bill, so convenient!

Tapao 5 cups of tao foo fah and 3 big bottles of soya bean milk. The tao foo fah is really good, smooth but not too sweet. But the soya bean is just normal.

As for lunch, we visited this restaurant, Thean Chun, located at Jalan Market.

Hor fun (again), and this one taste nicer compared to the one we had in the morning!

Pork and chicken satay, erm just mediocre to me~ Probably because they're not warm enough

The star, caramel custard! Nice!!

Rojak, not bad...

Last but not least, popiah. Well, I can't say it's not good as I know different place offers different flavors and styles. Somehow I still prefer Taiping's popiah and rojak, hehe...

After lunch we headed South again to Batu Gajah to visit Karen's home. Spent an hour plus there then off to Tg Tualang for dinner. We dined at Lung Seng restaurant 2 years ago, and this time we tried the food at Luen Fong restaurant.

It was 6.30pm but the restaurant is almost full house, luckily we had made a reservation earlier.

Here're the food we had:

Ice jelly honey lime, or more commonly known as ai yu bing, 爱玉冰,a famous dessert from Taiwan. But here in Ipoh/Tualang, they called it wen tou lang (文头浪,man tao long in Cantonese). This is delivered from the shop opposite.

Satay squids, the sauce is very appetizing!

Fried kangkung

Fried oyster cake

Kam heong lala

Steamed prawns

Fried prawns

Steamed lam ko

We were pretty satisfied with the dinner above because the seafood are fresh! But the only regrets is the fish, the sauce is somewhat tasteless! So wasted.......

Anyway, total bill for the dinner is RM 310, expensive or not, you judge yourself.....

We reached home about 9pm+ and I continued my duty as a mum. It was such a tiring day but we all had fun! Look forward to the coming gathering, and this time will bring along our kids perhaps!

*还没参加抽奖游戏的朋友们,快快按这里吧~ 到今晚10点罢了哦!* (For those who have not participate in the Bangkok giveaway, click HERE before 10pm today!* *帮我的家换了形象,还好吧?^^ *
Hmm

Hot product, LATOJA (涵曦)!

Latoja (涵曦) is one of the latest slimming/skincare brand which invade Malaysia since last year.
It has technology from Spain and is manufactured in China.

Latoja has 3 products which are:
1. Latoja body slimming cream (王者纤体乳)
2. Latoja compact miniature hyaluronic acid solution (玻尿酸紧致原液)
3. Latoja infant skin serum (婴儿针)

1. Latoja body slimming cream:
- reduce cellulite, burn fats, lighten stretchmarks (even the very terrible ones), helps in post natal body repairing, increase lymphatic detoxification/sweating, improves water retention, reduce wrinkles, whitening and firming. Can be used on tummy, arms, hips and thighs. Suitable for male and female. Safe for breastfeeding mums but not recommended for pregnant women.

- it has ginger extracts so it leaves some warm sensation after application but it's actually very comfortable. Unlike those burning sensation which you find in other slimming cream.

See, it treats beer belly like magic!

Even very serious stretchmarks!
2. Latoja Hwanyu…

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
