Easy homemade pancakes with chocolate syrup

Must emphasize the word easy, hehe.

Since my baking mojo is back, I have to quickly bake something else. Pancakes came across my mind  hence I Googled 'easy pancakes recipe' the other day and started making my own pancakes.

This is also something very easy, what you need are:
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Dash of salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter

Steps:

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Using a whisk or large fork, mix in the buttermilk and egg until well combined and smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
The batter should appear lumpy

Heat non-stick pan over medium heat. Using a 1/4 cup measure, pour pancake batter onto hot pan.

When pancake is golden brown, flip to cook other side.

Keep warm in oven heated to 275 degrees.(optional, but pancakes are best to eat when hot)

(sorry a bit out of shape, haha, if you have the egg mould it'll be much easier)

Tada! Yummy homemade pancakes! If you're a perfectionist you might wanna turn all the pancakes into same size, I'm not anyway, to me these are good enough!

To make my tea time taste better, I melted some chocolate chips (since I have leftover chocolate chips in the fridge) and treat it as chocolate syrup, pour on top and slurp~~ You can substitute the topping by using honey, fruits jam or anything you like ^^

Weekend is here, hope you have a fruitful weekend ahead!

Oh by the way, please support my lelong sales HERE! Thank you.

  9. I wonder how those pancake shops can make them perfectly round...and small - maybe they have frying pans that size?

    1. STP, I believe they have the round ring/mould (something we use to fry egg), so everything is same size.

  29. Pancakes! I rarely eat them for breakfast, as it involves quite a lot of work and it's not my favorite. But if I do make it, I think instead of chocolate or maple syrup, I might use cream cheese as the filling. =D
