Kuala Sepetang

... formerly known as Port Weld, a small town situated about 20 minutes car ride from Taiping. Famous for its fresh seafood, charcoal factory, mangrove forest and, curry mee!

I brought my mum, Aden and my 2 aunties there yesterday just to satisfy our my curry mee cravings.

No fancy fancy restaurant, no air cond, but lots of flies :p

It was a hot afternoon, a bowl of ais kacang is a must!

Fried prawns fritters, RM 1 per piece, damn cheap!

The star of the day, curry mee! Lots of ingredients, and it's only RM 2.80 per bowl!

Laksa is another hot selling item! They also have clear soup noodles and dry mee.

My boy with his 2 red cheeks, it was really a hot day la! But worth the visit!

Just go straight when you reach Kuala Sepetang, make a right turn at the mini market and you'll locate this stall. It opens at 3pm, but curry comes at 3.30pm, close on Mondays and Tuesdays.

  1. oh, I love curry and laksa. I had curry at Secret Recipe yesterday. Yummy!

It's indeed a hot day these few days. Luckily yr boy didn't feel restless.

    3. wah!! only RM2.80 a bowl of noodles??!! that's very very cheap!! i think that was the price of noodles in KL like 20 years ago.. and kind of special, they have 豬紅~~

    4. aiyo Aden so cute lah, with his pinkish cheeks.. are you sure it's the weather and not also the spicy curry you fed him?? muahahaha~~

    5. Yes, it's Port Weld.
There are lots of flies, really, but like you said, if the food is good and cheap, there'll be crowd also.

No la, can choose bihun mee also.

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
