My love towards baking

Just wanted to share some of my recent baking, before I retire to bed.

1. Original flavor baked cheesecake
Ingredients: (I skip the base part, cause I am lazy like that, haha! xD)
250g cream cheese
25g caster sugar
25g butter
15g flour, sifted
2 tablespoon lemon juice
115g original flavored plain yogurt
1 egg
2 egg yolk
2 egg whites
35g caster sugar
Pinch of salt

Steps:
1. Start by mixing the egg whites, 35g caster sugar and salt. Set aside.
2. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese til fluffy.
3. Add in butter and 25g caster sugar, followed by egg and egg yolk.
4. Add in yogurt then lemon juice.
5. Pour in flour and mix well. Followed by mixture in step 1.
6. Pour the mixture into the cake mould using water-bath method, and bake under 170'C for about 60 minutes. Leave the cake inside the oven for another 30 minutes, then put into the fridge overnight before cutting (I skip this step though).

The end product. Simply cheesylicious!

2. Doughnut balls
Ingredients:
400g flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
2 tablespoon butter
100g sugar
1 egg
80ml milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
vegetable oil for frying
icing sugar

Steps:
1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
2. Beat the butter, and then add in sugar, followed by egg.
3. Add in milk and vanilla extract.
4. Slowly pour in mixture step 1 and mix til the dough holds together. Cover and chill for about 2 hours. (I waited 1 hour only, works fine for me too)
5. Scoop a spoonful of batter and fry til it become golden brown. Repeat til you have finish all the batter.
6. Sprinkle some icing sugar on top.
It taste just like doughnuts xD

3. Pudding bread
Ingredients: (this is a 'slumble' recipe, you can use any amount you like)
-breads
-2 egg
-milk
-melted butter

Steps:
1. In a baking mould, tear a few slices of bread.

2. Pour some melted butter, egg and milk on top. Be careful not to pour too much milk cause it'll become too watery. If you have sweet tooth, you can add in some sugar syrup.

3. Then bake under 200'C  for about 30 minutes. For decorations, you can sprinkle some chocolate chips or raisins on top.

Tada! Super easy!

I am indeed surprise that my baking mojo is here for quite some time! I realize I can give up my nap time and get busy in the kitchen when the mojo is really really here ^^

Hope you enjoy reading! =)

    2. the second one, hahaha, by looking at the photo i cannot recognise that as any donuts lah, looks like 笑口棗 more lor!! when it comes to donut, i actually like the most basic sugar ring the most lah.. those fancy fancy ones, not really like them.. the simplest is always the best :)

    3. the third one, bread and butter pudding.. yeah, kind of like this also.. but then cannot eat this a lot because very easily "jelak" and stuffed up one.. but you didn't have the vanilla sauce for it, and i believe you also didn't make it too sweet lah.. :)

    4. SK, well if I really did that when Aden was hiding, I can call myself a super super mom already! LOL!

Yea I know, I saw it before, mine can compete with that leh, kakaka :p

Haha same here, I prefer traditional types of doughnuts, don't like those from Big Apple or J&co.

Right, pudding bread, cannot eat too much at one go, really very filling one.

*还没参加抽奖游戏的朋友们,快快按这里吧~ 到今晚10点罢了哦!* (For those who have not participate in the Bangkok giveaway, click HERE before 10pm today!* *帮我的家换了形象,还好吧?^^ *
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…
