Such a long title xD
Thanks to FIL, hubs and I had another chance to travel this year. We visited Scandinavia, but only managed to drop by Norway and Denmark (well, that's already good enough for me since I don't pay a single cent :p).
Just in case you din't know, Scandinavia is a historical and cultural-linguistic region in Northern Europe characterized by a common ethno-cultural Germanic heritage and related languages that includes the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (source from wikipedia).
We took a transit flight from Bangkok to Oslo, the capital of Norway, and the total flight time is 11 hours.
Saw this unique building right in front of Oslo airport once we touched down
Din't sleep much in the plane, hence the tired and pale face
In the coach, we passed by lots of beautiful and unique buildings and houses. This is one of my favorite, simple and without any fencing
Double decker tourist bus in Oslo. Buses here are very advanced, equipped with free wifi so you get connected online everywhere~!
Walked around the place where we had our breakfast upon touching down. It was the end of summer, temperature ranged between 11'C to 20'C during daytime, quite tolerable to me.
We met the local tour guide once we arrived and she brought us to City Hall. It is the city council, city administration, art studios and galleries.
The look of the City Hall from the outside
第一站来到了奥斯陆市政厅，主要是了解它的历史 （不过当导游在讲解时我都没听啦，反而是争取时间到处拍照 ^^）
Weather is cooling, yet the sun is shining bright. June is the hottest period in Norway, then become colder towards September as it's entering autumn/winter, and winter is very very cold over there cause of it's geographical location which is in the North, just next to Iceland.
Some wall paintings inside the City Hall
We are not allowed to go upstair
Actually nothing much to see inside the place, just to snap some photos
But have to say those paintings are very nice!
There's a small booth selling some souvenirs but none of us bought anything there :p
The toilet here is very big and beautiful so I mustn't miss the chance to camwhore inside! LOL!
The surrounding of the City Hall is very nice too! Lots of vintage looking buildings
Yours truly with the Norway troll statue in front of a souvenir shop. It's called bjergtrolde which means mountain folks, they are said to be the supernatural being in the Scandinavia folklore. We see troll statues everywhere in Norway. I shall tell more about it in the posts to come.
This is Opera House, we only managed to see it from far. Love the design!
View of another side nearby the Opera House
Living standard in Norway is very high, and things are rather expensive for us. Tour guide shared with us some stories and information about living in Norway, which some are quite shocking to me! I will share with you in the posts to come ;)
Yours truly with some of the tour members, we are all from Perak.
That's all for the first post of my Norway/Denmark travelogue, I hope you enjoy reading it!
