Trip to Scandinavia 2013: Vigelandsparken Sculpture Park

We had a great morning walk at this park (also called the Frogner Park) on the 3rd day. It's located at western Oslo, and is huge and beautiful, the size is about 80 acre.

At the entrance to the park

Quite windy this morning, cause surrounded by lots of trees

Hubby and some other tour members

The park has 4 important attractions. Here we are standing at the bridge of life

If you can see there're so many sculptures on both sides of the bridge, there're a total of 212 bronze and granite sculptures here, all designed by Gustad Vigeland

I thought of Aden immediately when I see this sculpture ;)
Actually all the statues here has a meaning, basically it tells a story of a lifetime, from birth til death

Aden likes to play like that too! All sculptures here are well preserved and are all original, no imitations elsewhere

This is the main sculpture you shouldn't miss, the angry little boy, Sinnataggen

Notice the shiny left hand? The reason why it's of different color is because too many tourists have been holding it

Cute? :p

This park is also a great place for family picnic during summer time

Hubby and his friend, Ooi

Very nice and beautiful garden

Love the flowers here!

There's a Vigeland museum here but we din't go in

Really a beautiful place! I'd want to come during summer time (if I have a chance) and picnic here! xD

The second attraction, the fountain of life

This is the Monolith I caught in my fingers

The 3rd attraction, the Monolith, consider as the pillar of life, there're 121 human figures on this column

With the other members and the guy sitting in front is one of the tour leader, Elton. He is a very funny guy, this is our 3rd tours together ;)

Forgotten what is this called, but one thing for sure, I can feel my skin burning when taking this photo cause of the sun....

And the 4th attraction, the wheel of life

The pretty grass field is calling! Love this photo~

Alright, I hope you are following my blog as I'll be giving away some souvenir at the end of this travelogue ;)
