Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

From imdb

Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci

Same director, but a total whole new casts, that's something which makes me not so keen to watch this installment (though I love all the previous installments), but I watched in anyway, since someone paid for the movie tickets to accompany my boss ;)

(sorry for the spoiler ahead but I decided to post them anyway :p)

1. I love the transformation of the Autobots (from car to transformer and vice versa), I always love to watch how they transform, of course all are assisted by CG and technology but I just love it! ;)
2. I'm surprise to see some familiar Hong Kong celebrities as guests appearance towards the end.
3. The movie is too lengthy (almost 3 hours). I can see lots of patrons walked in and out during the show time (for bathroom trips I guess).
4. Fighting scene is a bit messy and confusing.  But there're a lot of different autobots and transformers in this installment, my favorite is still BumbleBee!
5. We are I am so used to see Shia Labeouf as the main actor but this time with Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, I have to say the movie somehow lack of something....
6. Not sure if there're anymore trailer after the credits as we left the cinema as soon as the credits appear, but I think there's another episode coming up?

Rating: 6.5/10

  3. 我也是結束就離席,不過西瓜說通常都沒有after credit!
    but 我覺得這一集很不錯,ok 因為之前的我都看不懂,也沒認真看。這一次,很認真而且和明白故事的來龍去埋。覺得很贊。哈哈

  4. I am thinking of whether to watch this in imax 3d or not so I am deciding now to read your spoilers or not. Ok I have decided I won't read your spoilers until I have watched the movie. But can you please advise is it worth watching in imax 3d? Thanks.

    1. Ok, hehe sorry about the spoilers :p

Erm, I personally think may be worth it? But not sure if you can handle the long hours of wearing the glasses? Cause some scenes are shaky...

    2. Thanks for your reply. I watched it in 3d imax tonight and it was superb. Now I read your spoilers d. I feel the same as you on point 1 and 2. No trailer at the end after the credits. 3d is only clear for the autobots scenes. Some scenes with only people in it can be quite blur.

  10. I think Mark Walbergh was a good choice for replacement, altho I'd still prefer Shia Lebouf too. Something about him just owns that character. Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, they're like inseparable. There is no Transformer without those two. :-)

  13. I watched on Sunday, overall, I would say nice movie. The new cast is fine for me. But I agree that the fighting is too lengthy and packed. I was feeling uncomfortable and dizzy at the fighting scene in Hong Kong. I saw 呂良偉 and 王敏得 too, the rest I can recognize already.
