To the year of the Rooster

Hi guys!

Happy Chinese New Year once again! Hope you had a great CNY spent!

Time flies! CNY is ending soon T_T But life goes on anyway 😊

I had a pretty busy CNY this round, tiring and lack of sleep.... Well I guess most of you are like me, I mean CNY is pretty much about family, reunion, gathering and food!

Sharing some of the highlights of my CNY, I shall write a proper post about my CNY soon!

Bye for now!

  1. 新年快乐!

    1. 哈哈真的很不够睡啊!>.<
      不过是这样啦ho? 过年嘛,一年一次 xD

  2. Well, Happy CNY again. Still not over yet mah. Looks like you had a very busy and happy time with your family and friends. Can take a good rest after chap goh meh :)

    1. But to most people already started working and back to normal, haha!
Good rest, I hope so ;)

  3. Yeah, CNY is all about reunion-ing and gathering, and of course eating as much as we can during this festive season! hahaha

    1. You are right, eat first then only lose those weight, LOL!

  4. Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy CNY! still another 5 days to go before CNY celebration officially ends. Very nice photos. You managed to capture the festive mood of CNY with gatherings, family bonding photos and the fireworks!

    1. Yes, but not much CNY feel already now, haha!
      Thanks mun!

  5. Good to hear that your family had a good CNY time!
Your hair is so stunning and can appear on the Vogue cover!

    1. Thanks TM, I hope you received my CNY card ;)
And hope that you had a great CNY too =)

    2. Thank you very much for the CNY card. So thoughtful of you.

  6. Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! Time flies, today already the 10th day of Lunar New Year...

  7. Whole family wear red red, nice!

Once again, thanks for your CNY card.

    1. By the way, has Toby learned to talk already? My nephew is 20 months already and still has not learned to talk so I am a bit worried

    2. You are welcome Libby.

Erm, can talk a bit only.. One or words each time, cannot in whole line yet.
Every toddler is different, I heard boys will talk slower than girls.. Anyway, still young to judge that so don't worry too much. But you guys can try 'train' him by reading stories for him...

  8. CNY is always a busy time for me too..being a mummy is not easy..Gong Xi Fa Cai..

    1. You are right wenn, especially mums with small kids!

  9. 其实过不过年我都不够睡的 *哭奔

    1. 其实我也是,过年更不够睡啊!

      Hmm, 需要一些时间慢慢适应吧?加油加油!

  10. Actually I'm not like you this year. We did not go visit relatives, my time at home spent eating, watching TV and sleeping only. Song! :P

    1. Haha, sounds very enjoy also ma! As long as you song then ok la! xD

  11. Hi Hayley, glad to know you had a fabulous CNY. Love the pics here. And your kids are tall, good looking too.
We had a quiet CNY as apart from Chinese malls, the atmosphere is normal unlike where you are.
Wishing you and family all the very best this Rooster year.
    Best regards,

    1. Hi Lee! Yea, my boys sure grown up huh? Hope they get their dad's genes, growing tall! ^^

Oh, I guess CNY is not as happening there in Western countries....

      Thanks and you take care!

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

The unwelcomed birthday presents

(Note: Quite a long post, I skipped my afternoon nap to write this so please read everything ya!! xDD)

Past 2 weeks were really exhausting for me.

It all started on 20th April when Aden developed a mild fever, he was tired and sleepy, I let him skipped school for 2 days.

He seldom takes afternoon nap, when he does, it means he is not feeling well :(

The next day, it was Toby's turn😢
Poor boy, his temperature reached 39° and it was on and off~
Then I notice he started to have these cute double eyelids for a few days~ Haha not sure why~
He was feeling really unwell, very lethargic, no appetite and super duper clingy to me!

Then both brothers started to cough badly 😢😢
So on the 25th, I brought them to the pediatrician again.  He examined both boys and suspected it could be pneumonia and even dengue (because their fever were on and off). Suggested to get admitted right away.
I wasn't sure if that's necessary because I knew once admitted, have to stay for at least 5 days (h…
