Family vacation in Penang

Throwback to 2 weeks ago ;)

Drove my parents and sons to Penang to meet my brother who flew from Singapore, and spent a night there.

Hello Penang, smooth ride at Penang 2nd bridge.
It was a nice sunny morning!

Walked around Queensbay mall before having our lunch

My happy boy!

We had lunch at Friday's and we got a brownie for free because it was my brother's birthday!

The kids were the happiest whenever they see birthday cake and candle xD

Belated happy birthday my dear brother!! Wishing you all the best!! We love you!!

Then it took us an hour to get to Batu Feringgi due to heavy traffic at the town area, lucky both kids were asleep in the car, I can drive with peace of mind.

Checked in to Park Royal resort, and without wasting times, we went straight to the pools!

Swimming and playing with water are definitely my sons' favorite thing to do

Here's my kids with their favorite uncle, thanks uncle for the nice treat! ;)

Thank God for the nice weather! Can tell it was very hot eh?
But we prefer this over rainy day!

Aden couldn't wait to go to the beach though I told him it was really hot....

So we had some sun tanning session at the beach.....

Aden enjoyed the waves, while Toby enjoyed throwing wet sand all over the place haha!

It was really hot, but seeing their happy faces, worth it also la
Hubby couldn't join due to busy working schedule :(

I myself love the sea too!

A lot of people playing parasailing, I can only watch from the beach... Next time, next time I'll sure have a go!!

With the people I love <3

We managed to catch some nice sunset scenes while having our dinner at a nearby Thai restaurant.

What a beautiful and calming view!

My dear parents and their grandsons, everyone is looking tired....

Including myself....

Saw a few men riding horses, Toby kept on saying 'hor' (he means horse ;p) after that...

Dinner was very mediocre, but expensive... Well what can we expect, it's a tourist place after all

We planned to walk at the nearby night market but unfortunately it was drizzling out there. Luckily there's a indoor playground to kill time.

Aden and Toby knocked off quite early that night, too tired already haha!

The next morning, Toby woke up early, while his kor kor still in dreamland~~

We had breakfast at the resort, and walked around the resort before dipping into the pool again....

Hello Sunday!

Last dip before we checked out!

Another quick trip at the playground, before we say bye bye!

I was rather tired, because I din't sleep well, blame it to my hormones, I usually have difficulties sleeping in hotels T__T
Anyway, must stay awake cause have to drive back to Taiping....

It was a short trip instead, but we all enjoyed the moments we spent together! I miss the beach now, desperately want another holiday like this again!

  1. Wow, u an drive outstation trip oh, salute! I will never can drive on highway, tension~~~
When traveling, sunny day is better than rainy day, always :P

    1. Ha, why tension?
Yep, sunny day is better than rainy day when we go travel.

  2. Very fun holiday for you and your two leng chais! Everyone looks happy :)

  3. I love to see photos of your 2 boys. We have been following their growing up years from cute babies to adorable kids now! Aden is photogenic with happy smiles & poses...
It makes me really happy to see the photos as I spent many young days on that beach too. I love Park Royal Hotel too as it has the right beach location.

    Visit Penang more often!!

    1. Thanks TM.
A lot of hotels there, all near to the beach, a packed tourist spot, but not cheap la!

  4. Lovely. So nice, Taiping - can drive to Penang easily and to the other towns and cities there too. Hubby looks different - has he put on a bit of weight? Not so thin, more handsome. LOL!!!

    1. Yea, Taiping is like in between Penang and KL, drive also not so tiring.

Ha, that's my brother, you din't read my blog properly eh??

  5. A pity your hubby can't join in the trip...

    1. Yea, but thinking at the bright side, it means there's next time =)

  6. It was such a good holiday with your parents and brother. I like Park Royal hotel, it is clean and cozy.

    1. Nice indeed.

A lovely short holiday in Penang. It is convenient to drive there and long weekend this week and next week. You can go there again. ^^

    1. No, both kids are down with fever :(
Just pray they recover in no time.

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

好久好久没来篇像样的华语post咯! 今天就算牺牲美容觉也得呕出一篇来回馈我亲爱的读者朋友们,我知道有时看太多鸡肠对眼睛不好 xDD 怎样,我抵錫吗?:p
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
