2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!

I also love the spacious bathroom with the big bathtub!

The boys skipped their morning bath (we left home at 5am, both still sleeping) so when they see the bathtub, they just couldn't resist! xD

Bathroom always had the best light! 😃

Swensen and McD are something I won't miss whenever I go Hatyai, they are easily located (at Lee Garden Plaza) and are cheap! Most importantly, they are yummy!!

We spent the afternoon wandering around the city area before sending Toby back to the room for his afternoon nap~

Big brother Aden was still very energetic!

I sneak out for a nice foot massage while Toby was still napping (just outside the hotel), syok!

After dinner, we took a tuk tuk ride to Greenway night market and Asean night bazaar.

It was Toby's second tuk tuk ride and Aden's third

Spent another hour plus walking nearby Odean market for their food festival, a lot of cute and unique food stalls, if only my tummy is big enough to try all!! Hehe!

Then we just rest at the hotel, everyone were tired already!

The next morning, the boys continue to have their dip in the bathtub~

Another tuk tuk ride to the morning market for our last round of shopping before checking out

Din't really shop much this time (mostly were snacks) but it was alright, at least  I got a short holiday spent with the people I loved ;)

  2. I also cannot resist bath tub, if go travel, usually I will get a bottle of bath foam, if the hotel has bath tub, pour the bath foam into the bath tub with full of water and soak inside there, hehe...

  10. You just shared very lovely & happy family photos! Your 2 boys are always so cute!

My wife always loved going to Hatyai compared to Bangkok. I also miss this place very much if you remember that I grew up at my grandpa's house in Songkhla when he was the CPO of South Thailand. I like your spacious hotel room and will stay there next time. Luckily you didn't stay next door which is now famously "HxxxTxD" after so many fellas died in the basement carpark after the big flood incident. I heard stories of knocking doors from the town folks. LOLOL

  14. Hi Hayley, love the pics you posted here, and yes, I too used to love Hatyai long ago, been there many times too, wayyyy back late '70s, early '80s. Great Thai food too.
Its good you get both your kinds traveling experience. Can see they very good kids.
I long took a train trip, KL to Bangkok return....with a friend....it was cheap then.

I'm now planning to drive to our 4 Atlantic Provinces, have a holiday sightseeing those places of interest. Going to be a long drive, like KL to Beijing.
You have a nice weekend, keep well,
    Lee.

The unwelcomed birthday presents

(Note: Quite a long post, I skipped my afternoon nap to write this so please read everything ya!! xDD)

Past 2 weeks were really exhausting for me.

It all started on 20th April when Aden developed a mild fever, he was tired and sleepy, I let him skipped school for 2 days.

He seldom takes afternoon nap, when he does, it means he is not feeling well :(

The next day, it was Toby's turn😢
Poor boy, his temperature reached 39° and it was on and off~
Then I notice he started to have these cute double eyelids for a few days~ Haha not sure why~
He was feeling really unwell, very lethargic, no appetite and super duper clingy to me!

Then both brothers started to cough badly 😢😢
So on the 25th, I brought them to the pediatrician again.  He examined both boys and suspected it could be pneumonia and even dengue (because their fever were on and off). Suggested to get admitted right away.
I wasn't sure if that's necessary because I knew once admitted, have to stay for at least 5 days (h…
