To Penang again

Another Penang trip sponsored by my brother <3

The last staycation at Penang was during April (Click HERE to read).

Driving to Penang is easy for me, just about an hour, smooth drive along the highway and on the bridge, slightly jam from Gurney towards Batu Ferringhi though~

And here we are!
This time we checked into Park Royal resort again, because we got a complimentary upgrade to suite rooms as promised by the manager 😁

The lounge area is now opened after refurnished, very big and comfortable place

Waiting to check in, wefie first la! 😄

Welcome drinks

Check-in was fast, the boys can't wait to see the rooms!

The room is big and nice with all basic necessities, nothing much to complain la haha!

Complimentary snacks and nutmeg juice

It has a smaller toilet outside...

... and a bigger one with bathtub near the bed. Needless to say, my sons were the most excited ones when they see the bathtub! 😊

Without wasting times, we changed into our swimming attires and off to the pool!

Their all time favorite activity, swimming/playing with water~~

Only my mummy followed, my dad stayed at home =)

Had a quick sun tanning session by the beach, Aden loves the waves and sand!

While Toby busy exploring stuff, LOL!

Hello sunshine and beach!

My salty feet 😎

Photo taken by my little photographer Aden ^^

After a few hours dipping in the pool, we went back to our room to rest.

Enjoying the view from our room balcony

Such lovely view! Thank God for the nice weather all day!

My brother flew from Singapore and met us at the hotel later that evening.
I got myself changed and drove to Prangin Mall alone to meet my husband, who traveled from Taiping with a friend after work.

We were invited to attend his friend's wedding reception 😏
Well actually this is the main reason we went Penang hehe!

Some paktor time for us 😛

Had some wine and great catch up with friends whom I hardly see!

Love their decorations!

Best wishes to the newly wed!

While I enjoyed those US time with hubby and friends, I was worried about my sons too, especially Toby, since he is like super clingy to me...
Then my brother Whatsapp-ed and said they were in good hands, phew!

So since they were okay with my mum and brother, hubby and I decided to join our friends for an English tea session at one of the pub at Auto Mall Penang ;)

I think it has been more than 5 years since I last went to a pub with hubby, LOL!
It was a great night, feeling like we were dating again hahaha!
Lucky to have my mother and brother who took care of my sons while I can steal some times to enjoy~

Back to the hotel at 2am+ and both Aden and Toby were already zzz~~

The view from our balcony at 8am! Love!
I can stay here all day la!!

Breakfast in the restaurant, did not eat much cause I needed to sleep more!! xD

Another round of swimming before we check out!

Here's the boys with their favorite uncle and popo, and thank you uncle for the nice treat! Muacks!

Sent my brother to the airport after checked out, and we drove back to Taiping after that.

The next morning, the boys still in dreamland at 10am, I guess that's called post-holiday-syndrome? Hahaha!
Luckily Aden attends afternoon session in his kindergarten, can wake up late a bit.

Time to get back to the reality, and start counting down to the next holiday! Haha!!

  1. Guess the kids didn't see their Uncle for sometimes, so when you not around for a short period, so they ok...

    1. Erm not really la, my brother back home every month de, hehe!

  2. Nice hotel. Lovely break. I've not been to Penang for a long long time now.

  8. Replies
    1. 也是有很多肥肉的,哈哈!

  9. You guys are so blessed to travel to Penang so easily - just 1 hour's drive away!
I guess Penang is still the best holiday resort in SE Asia. I am sure you read the recent news of the Shanghai construction tycoon who made Penang his 2nd Home with PR and threw his son's wedding at Rasa Sayang with over 100 guests flown in from China. Thanks to the beach that stole all your hearts!
Where is Automall?? Aiyo I am so outdated now.

    1. Yep,very blessed indeed, haha!
Opps, I din't know about that news, hahaha!!

      Auto Mall is at Georgetown.

  10. I like the room's modern design and it looks spacious too!
    Wow sexy bikini look!
Checkered shirt theme for men? LOL

    1. Very spacious indeed! Great for family with kids ;)
      Haha, coincidentally in checkered!

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

好久好久没来篇像样的华语post咯! 今天就算牺牲美容觉也得呕出一篇来回馈我亲爱的读者朋友们,我知道有时看太多鸡肠对眼睛不好 xDD 怎样,我抵錫吗?:p
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
