What we did during the long Deepavali holidays/

I bet every stay-at-home-mums suffer from headache when it comes to school holidays.
It can means more screaming more mess at home, haha!

Though I have only 2 kids at the moment, I really dislike school holidays.
Firstly, big brother stays home all day means there will be more fighting, more chasing and even more bullying.
Secondly, staying at home all day can be very boring for kids, I need to crack head thinking what to let them do to pass time.

Anyway, during the recent Deepavali long holidays, I brought them to Trong duck farm.
The last visit was only last month, apparently my sons love this place and have been pestering me to go there again.
Since it's school holiday and the place is not far, why not?

This time I drove my parents and sons there since hubby is working

It was a very nice day (Bet you can tell from the photo xD)

The last time we were here, visitors are allowed to step inside to feed the ducklings.
But this time no, guess is to protect those fragile ducklings ;)

The boys again, requested for another round of feeding (duck food is available at RM1 per packet)

Here you can see lots and lots of ducks, as well as flies.
If you don't mind the smell and flies, this place is actually quite nice to visit, I mean for kids la

Actually not only daughters can play dress up, sons also can one, haha!

The ticket to the duck farm is inclusive of boat ride (RM8/adult, RM4/kid)

We only paddled for less than 5 minutes because it was super duper hot! Plus with the life jacket, really can pengsan

That's how Toby sayang the duck :p

Had a quick drinks before we left, though short but consider good enough as the kids enjoyed themselves~

Then on Sunday, we traveled up North to Penang to see dinosaurs!

It's located at The Top Komtar.

There are time to go inside the center, ours were at 2.30pm
The Top Komtar

This center has both indoor and outdoor areas, with information about dinosaurs and displays

The whole place is quite well maintained

Aden is a big fan of dinosaur. He likes cars and superheroes too but I can tell he loves dinosaur the most!
He knows the most dinosaur types than everyone else in the family, I also learn from him, haha!
(Well, he learn from TV and Youtube xD)

Also a very nice day!

T-Rex~

Little Toby got excited seeing those 'moving dinosaurs'!

Do dinosaurs really exist millions of years ago?? Hmm....

Besides Jurassic park, The Top Komtar has other entertainments too, like play gym, game center, sky walk and etc etc.
We bought the ticket to the park at RM48/adult & RM38/kid (free for kids below 90cm), but it'd be more worth to get the fun pass which includes everything at RM78/adult.

Visit their page here if you are interested to find out more.

The rest of the days, just stay at home...
Playing water (Weather is super hot and stuffy lately!)

And to McD! Just to eat and enjoy the free air cond but not crazy over those Tomica and Hello Kitty toys!
I heard people start queuing at McD the night before just to get the toys, crazy!

When school reopened, I felt so relieved!
It's like I gain back my sanity, LOL!
But but, another long holiday is coming next month!!
Oh no!!

  1. Not only kids, I will loves the duck farm too, hehe...

    1. Haha, you scare of smell and flies or not?

  2. No worries! You're not alone. That was why when I was teaching, whenever we had a holiday for some reason or other, parents would come and complain. Exam days also, no such thing as early finish, early home - they would come and complain too so we would have to babysit for hours...and hold the exam in such a way that every day, it would finish right before the last bell...and all the parents were very happy!

Yes, it certainly is not easy...and I am sure it is even more so in your case, with two boys. I had my hands full those days when my girl was little and I only had one but looking back, those were the best years of my life. Wish I could turn back time. You would probably feel the same too when your boys have grown up...and become so boring, not fun to play with anymore. Hehehehe!!!!

    1. I understand, so I just to cherish the moments now, else I'll miss them badly when they eventually grow up!

  3. Good weather = sunny day = hot hot day LOL
I think they fenced up the duckling enclosure maybe because kids don't know how to handle the fragile duckling and which become "abusement" for them >_<

  4. It's good that your boys had a lot of fun at the duck farm again. Oh, I did not know that there are dinosaurs in Penang. LOL!

  5. Ah, can see Aden and Toby really enjoyed themselves at both places! Time well spent!

  6. It seems like kids love dinosaurs

  7. Duck feeding, haha, my boys do that everytime they balik my in-law's place as my father in law bela ayam itik wan.

I agree with you on the Fun Pass for the The Top. It's more worth it as the ticket for the Jurassic alone can be very pricey.

    1. Oh, then sure they look forward to balik kampung every time ;)

  8. My mum was different as she liked school holidays to spend more time with the children and go for holidays. Maybe you are a modern mum's generation.

Kids are smarter these days and they learn so fast with good exposures. Aden will become a animal scientist one day since he likes dinosaurs. I also loved feeding ducklings and little chicks when I was a kid. Do you know that your kids would really gather lots of merits by just feeding these cute ducklings? It is same as the Buddhists who like to feed fishes and tortoise in the ponds for merit making. I saw some old people purposely feed fishes and stray cats every evening in KL. Good and happy for them & your boys too!

    1. Really? Well I hope what you say is true, hehehe!

  9. Yup. Headache for every mummies when holiday is here.

Love the duck farm. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves.

  10. have not heard about this place. will bookmark to visit

Just a short post before the weekend arrives! =)

I've been drinking this collage drink for about a week already.....

It's from this brand, 满点肌, a product from Japan

10 bottles for the price of RM145

According to the SA, this collagen drinks will make your skin flawless after consuming for a period of time. And now after a week of consuming it, I did not see any significant improvement on my face. But one thing I realise is that my nose has become smoother and less blakcheads! Not sure is it the results of this drinks, but to me it's still a good news! =)

Anyway, my main purpose wasn't to buy this collagen drinks at first, I was looking for the eye mask actually, after reading the positive comments from Female magazine. 6 eye mask for the price of RM 155

The SA told me if I buy their collagen drinks, I'd entitled a 40% discount for the eye mask (yea, business tactics) So that's why I ended up buying the collagen drinks (which I never had before, cause I was worried…

Can't think of a title now...

Hi world! It's been a while! Hope you are doing fine! ;)
Life is busy as usual, and extremely tired lately due to the crazy weather and sick bugs came visited me :(
Got to sleep soon, just wanna come in here to make my blog a bit alive, haha!
Take care and have a nice week ahead!

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…
