The start of my Bangkok travelogue

Date: 22/12/17-25/12/17
It was quite a last minute decision.

We booked the flight tickets and hotels only about a month before the said date.
So, flight tickets cost a bomb actually, plus it was a public holiday weekend.

But hubby said never mind, once a while, LOL! xD

So, this is our first and only flight in 2017.

Hopefully this year, we get to fly also, haha! (Hope you are reading this hubby ^^)

Booked a van to fetch us to the airport~

Jalan jalan at KLIA2 before boarding~

Can't you pose properly Toby?

This trip, 4 adults and 4 kids (2 families of 4), which to me is very manageable. Too many in a group, eat up a lot of time for waiting~
Too few, not that merry, haha~

Filled up our tummy at the food court before boarding, cause our flight did not include meals.

I guess this is a mandatory shot for anyone who travels on board, haha!!

It was an afternoon flight, and very sunny, perfect for a nap!

Didi Toby was quite well behaved, fell asleep shortly after take off, and I woke him up upon arriving at Bangkok.
And for the trip back to KL, he fell asleep even before take off, too tired la! xD

Korkor lagi easy to handle, as he is big enough to listen to us.
He also fell asleep during both flights.
Must praised them for behaving, did not give daddy and mummy headaches... hehe! (This is only their second time traveling with plane)

We reached DMK airport Bangkok about 3pm.
And checked into hotel after an hour.

Stayed at Pakdee hotel which located strategically at Pratunam.
Well, room is small for a family of 4, but just for 3 nights, ok la...
My idea was to save up on hotel, so that we can spend more on shopping/eating.

Actually most of the budget hotels were fully booked by the time I book, so we settled with this.

I searched in airbnb too but most of the hotels/apartments are slightly farther from city area.
With 4 kids along, it's quite difficult and inconvenient.

So in the end, we all agreed to squeeze stay at Pakdee =)

Service is quite ok, one of the receptionist is quite helpful.
But actually the thing we like the most about this hotel is the location, haha!
Just opposite Platinum Mall, and near Pratunam market, and about 10 mins walk from BTS.

Breakfast included, but not many choices.

The one and only lift in the hotel xD

The lobby is a nice place for the kids, cause of these big fluffy dolls!

Good for selfie too haha!

We hang around nearby on the first day, since everyone were quite tired.

Look at Aden, he was tired of walking.
Oh boy, it was only the first night!!

It was the Christmas weekend when we arrived so there were lots of Christmas decors everywhere!
This one is in front of Platinum Mall.

That's all for day 1.

We visited Chocolate Ville and Ocean World the next 2 days, shall blog about them soon!! =)

  1. My girl used to do that too whenever we travelled when she was little - would sleep all the way. Sure made travelling easy, so hassle free!

    1. Good that they sleep all the way, no fuss no mess!

  2. Location is the key. So having a location that is near shopping malls is very good. Toby and Aden look so obedient in the photos.

    1. Yep, especially if you are traveling with young children.

  3. So nice!! I love going to Thailand.. shopping, massage and Food!!

  4. Your photos are so cute, lovely and fun. I dare not book flights at last minutes esp to Japan or China which needs a year in advance to get cheap tickets. Uncle TM damn poor la. Lol
I realised you guys had long journey from home to catch flight from KL. More fun and adventurous!

    1. Actually of course it's advisable to book in advance la! Unless no choice....

  5. It is a smart choice to book hotel near the Pratunam area

    1. My trip to Bangkok also costed a bomb as it was during the peak period of December school holidays

    2. Yes, I guess most flights are expensive throughout December.

  6. Fun for the boys to fly and enjoy in Bangkok.

Yup. To more family holiday this year. ^^

    1. Yes, they get to shop and sight seeing too!

  7. Hotel location is indeed a priority when choosing a place to stay. Good idea of saving up on the hotel too.

    1. I agree, especially if tagging kids along.

  8. What a fun holiday with your family!

  9. I also stayed at Pratunam area during my last trip, opposite Platinum Mall as well but the location is convenient for shopping but quite a distance from BTS by walking.

    1. Haha, 我们福建人说,有一好没二好啦!

Just a short post before the weekend arrives! =)

I've been drinking this collage drink for about a week already.....

It's from this brand, 满点肌, a product from Japan

10 bottles for the price of RM145

According to the SA, this collagen drinks will make your skin flawless after consuming for a period of time. And now after a week of consuming it, I did not see any significant improvement on my face. But one thing I realise is that my nose has become smoother and less blakcheads! Not sure is it the results of this drinks, but to me it's still a good news! =)

Anyway, my main purpose wasn't to buy this collagen drinks at first, I was looking for the eye mask actually, after reading the positive comments from Female magazine. 6 eye mask for the price of RM 155

The SA told me if I buy their collagen drinks, I'd entitled a 40% discount for the eye mask (yea, business tactics) So that's why I ended up buying the collagen drinks (which I never had before, cause I was worried…

Can't think of a title now...

Hi world! It's been a while! Hope you are doing fine! ;)
Life is busy as usual, and extremely tired lately due to the crazy weather and sick bugs came visited me :(
Got to sleep soon, just wanna come in here to make my blog a bit alive, haha!
Take care and have a nice week ahead!

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…
