Family trip to Penang

A day trip in fact.

Hubby brought Aden and I to Penang last weekend for some final CNY shopping. (Actually it was me who pester hubby la! 。。:p )

Breakfast before we started the journey, sometimes I just beh tahan my boy's blur look, looking innocently cute! Haha xD (有时就是很beh tong他这个招牌表情,有够傻呼呼的!<3)

Slept all the way to Penang

Shopping at the mall! 。

After shopping at Gurney plaza, we went for lunch at Chinahouse (唐人厝), located at Victoria Street, strongly recommended by a friend of mine, who loves food like me ^^

Parked our car nearby and walked towards the cafe. Saw a few old shops like this along the way. I think only certain places have this kind of shops these days.

Another thing which attracts me to this cafe is the wall painting below....

The famous 'siblings on bicycle' mural! This mural is situated besides the cafe only, Armenian Street to be exact

Daddy and Aden

Mummy and Aden! You can tell it was a very sunny day~

Bought this from the nearby souvenirs stall, RM 1.50.

And this is the Chinahouse cafe. Actually the signboard is not obvious, might miss it if did not pay attention

The shop itself is quite old styled, reminds me a lot of my old house =)

Almost full house, luckily I made a reservation a day earlier (Usually busy on weekend)

The center part of the cafe, walk all the way further and you'll see this........

A small garden with a pool, actually looking quite spooky to me, haha! 。)

There's also an art space upstairs, a reading room (but I din't check it out)

Our table

There's a big mirror just beside our table <3

Super love this huge mirror!

Aden playing with daddy~

Keeping his cool (cheh!)

Training my son to love camera, haha! Minutes later, he started to cry....

So it's milk time

After milk time, it's nap time

Try to keep him occupied by giving him things to grab

Ok, it's time to share the food~

Lots of cakes to choose from

And these sweet things on the bakery table...... Who can resist??

Carrot orange juice and lime juice, RM 12 and RM 8.

Chicken Spaghetti. RM 30. The chicken is ok but the spaghetti is a bit too dry for me, not forget to mention the portion is quite big!

Chicken curry rice, not bad! RM 28

Chicken and lentil soup, mediocre RM 20

Garden salad

(Sorry doesn't know the name cause the picture is borrowed from a friend)

To me, the main course is so so but their cakes are really worth trying!

Passion fruit butter cake RM 10

Take away mushroom pizza, RM9

There goes my diet plan >.<
Note: Of course 2 of us din't eat so much la! Some photos are borrowed from a friend, hehe...

Of course, food and cakes are not cheap. The next time I go, I'd only try their cakes =]
Overall, the place is quite unique and service is good, and lots of ang mohs there.

More infor at their website.

*还没参加抽奖游戏的朋友们,快快按这里吧~ 到今晚10点罢了哦!* (For those who have not participate in the Bangkok giveaway, click HERE before 10pm today!* *帮我的家换了形象,还好吧?^^ *
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…

To Penang again

Another Penang trip sponsored by my brother <3

The last staycation at Penang was during April (Click HERE to read).

Driving to Penang is easy for me, just about an hour, smooth drive along the highway and on the bridge, slightly jam from Gurney towards Batu Ferringhi though~

And here we are! This time we checked into Park Royal resort again, because we got a complimentary upgrade to suite rooms as promised by the manager 😁
The lounge area is now opened after refurnished, very big and comfortable place
Waiting to check in, wefie first la! 😄
Welcome drinks

Check-in was fast, the boys can't wait to see the rooms!

The room is big and nice with all basic necessities, nothing much to complain la haha!

Complimentary snacks and nutmeg juice

It has a smaller toilet outside...

... and a bigger one with bathtub near the bed. Needless to say, my sons were the most excited ones when they see the bathtub! 😊

Without wasting times, we changed into our swimming attires and off to the…
