The rest of my CNY 2016

Let me recall what I did.....

Well, besides feasting on CNY cookies and drinking Shandy, I met up with my dear friends.

All of them are my ex school mates~

And these are my members who attend the fitness dance class

We even had a small lou sang at the studio ;)

My big BDS family! We had a great CNY dinner on day 4

Taking photos of these kids.... What a mess! :p

On day 6 morning, a few friends and I paid a visit to Taiping old folks home and orphanage to donate daily necessities and distribute ang paos to them.

The things we bought~~
It feels so good to do good things ^^

Went for a short KTV session with 2 of my dear friends~

It's actually to celebrate Cheery's advance birthday
(Tagged Toby along since he is like a koala bear and I am his tree xD)

Luckily he napped for a while, I got to practice my throat that night =)

Our mini food gathering~

Attended a vendor dinner on behalf of father in law at Weil Hotel Ipoh, with le hubby, while the kids were taken care by mother in law at home. Had some wine and enjoyed some paktor time with hubby <3

That's pretty much my CNY this year. Very simple ones but I am thankful to be able to spend with the people I love.

  1. Thumb up to the visit to the Taiping old folks home and orphanage...

  2. Haha, I like your first sentence.. I also stuff myself with cookies and shandy.. Actually I stuff myself with pineapple tarts, ngaku and shandy, kakakaka.. You look really hot and gorgeous la pretty mummy..

  3. you had a very meaningful CNY. My CNY is less hectic, got more time to rest at home, eat much lesser too..did stuff some cookies in my mouth, did not bake any cookies and felt more relax.

  4. It's really nice of you guys to visit the old folks home and orphanage. If you guys don't mind and if you guys are doing it next year please count me in~! :)

  5. CNY is about cookies, food and gathering. You have done a great charity job as well in CNY. You will be blessed, Hayley.

  6. Very meaningful CNY you have dear. You are bless with friends and family members.

  7. Your CNY was so happy and Lau Juak! I never had so many CNY gatherings like you all my life. What a happy mama!

    1. Thanks TM! By the way I received both of your postcards, so nice of you!! Thank you very much!!

  8. You had a great time! It's great that you and your friends visited the old folks home and orphanage and made contributions.

  9. So much happenings!!

I also love Shandy but this year I drank more red wine. Not so into cookies but cakes.

  10. your CNY is indeed very 多姿多彩 lor, you had so many meet-up with friends and relatives!! if compared yours with mine, hahaha, i think yours is fruit punch and mine is plain water only lor..

ex-schoolmates gathering, i think this is like some compulsory thing to do during CNY hor?? and most probably only that once a year during CNY, that's it, hahaha!! and you also have birthday celebration and wedding dinner to attend, quite okay mah, got more 歡樂氣氛.. :)

but i guess the best thing would be visiting the old folks home and orphanage, it is indeed one very meaningful thing to do.. and i guess you also enjoyed yourself doing some charity and feel good for yourself.. and i think the elderly and juniors were also very happy that you all visited them and brought them goodies.. :)

    1. Yea, you see most cafes are full during CNY, cause a lot of people are out for yumcha/gathering!

Yes I did, feel very 满足 because I helped those in need..

  11. You're a great mum! Your baby looks so healthy and chubby, so cute...want to pinch the cheeks! Wahhhhh!!!! Hooked on tet-tet kah? LOL!!!

  12. Wah, you did so much this CNY - what a nice CNY it was for you since you get to pak tor with your husband, do a good deed by donating necessities to the needy, catch up with so many good friends. Toby is such a good boy to allow mommy to sing! He is so cute too!

  13. It feels so good to be doing good deeds right? You look so pretty, Mama Hayley and your boy Toby got such a high forehead, will be a blessed child

  14. 好多朋友聚会哦~

  15. Your CNY is very eventful.. nice !!

  16. wow...what a nice CNY gathering with so many event, programs and celebrated with so many folks. Got jie jie and pretty aunties!! :)

  17. I read your 2014 post to find out what BDS meant. :)

Black Dog Society. I like! Guinness Stout used to be a lot stronger, 8.2% or something like that. I meant the smaller fat bottles that it came in late 90's. Now it's standardized and not much more than beer.

Looks like you had a lot of fun during CNY and did a lot of good too!

I'm sure the older folks were happy that you all turned up to talk to them. I've been to an old folks home too, people there tend to be lonely.

Oh, the food gathering looks good. What is the fried rice (?) dish on the right?

    1. That's actually sushi king yee sang, haha!

    2. WHAT??? Really? HAHAHAHAH

I would never have guessed it was yee sang, somemore from Sushi King. :)

I'm not a huge fan of Sushi King, they make really bad sushi, or at least the one in Kelana Jaya did. I used to go a lot in 2008 coz it was the nearest food place to the office. The green tea isn't refillable to boot (not for cold ones) which I find odd too.

Anyway, hope you're having a great year Hayley. :)

    3. Haha yea, it was Sushi King's yee sang.

Actually I also don't think their yee sang is nice, in fact those ready packed sell in Tesco is even nicer!

  18. Looks like you had a fabulous CNY. I spent the entire CNY with family members only. No time to go visiting friends @_@

  19. Super to have so many friends.

  20. After give birth to two children, still so slim... <3 O.O

  21. Looks like it was a great year to start ahead with loved ones, good friends and of course good food.

I did not do any friend house visiting. Just lepaking at my grandma house for the consecutive 2 days. And then my parents house.

2D1N Hatyai trip

I have been to Hatyai many times and I am not bored of it yet, haha!! xD
It's one of my favorite place to go, I mean considering the fact that I can't really travel oversea at the moment (no money and no time).
But traveling to Hatyai is still consider 'oversea' la right? 😆 It's just that we go there by car instead of plane.... Just 2 hours plus to reach kastam, almost like from Taiping to KL.

We had a short getaway to Hatyai last month, it was 2 days after the Songkran festival. We tagged Aden and Toby along so hubby suggested to avoid that festival.

Journey was smooth from Taiping all the way to the kastam, just the queue at the kastam was a bit tiring. We managed to check in early, lucky!

We stayed at Grand Pink hotel, I simply love this hotel because the room is big and clean! Staff service is nice too! Highly recommended, heard it's been refurnished lately. It's located next to Lee Garden Plaza so it's easy to find!
I also love the spacious bathro…

好久好久没来篇像样的华语post咯! 今天就算牺牲美容觉也得呕出一篇来回馈我亲爱的读者朋友们,我知道有时看太多鸡肠对眼睛不好 xDD 怎样,我抵錫吗?:p
Hmm

BFF trip to Bangkok 2013: The food post

Bangkok is not only a heaven for the men shopping but also food! I've actually Google and blog hopping beforehand to see what's worth to eat at Bangkok, can only chose the most popular ones as we were there for only 4 days 3 nights, a very rush trip.
I've filtered out those food we ate during the trip which I think worth mentioning.
@ Food court, Platinum Mall Green curry chicken rice
Beef noodles
Fruit crepe
The food court is so big here in Platinum Mall, hundreds of tables are provided but almost all are occupied.

Dessert @ Swensen, Platinum Mall

(pale looking face, first day after touching down) Swensen is not in my itinerary, we decided to go here instead of Mr Jones Orphanage at Siam Center cause of the location. Siam Center is further away from where we stay, but Platinum Mall is just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. End up, no regrets! Much cheaper and yummier compared to Malaysia.

T&K seafood, Chinatown  (It's easier to get here by metered cab)

By far…
